

MUSCAT: The Council of Ministers convened a joint meeting at the Council's premises in Muscat on Tuesday with the Office of the Majlis Ash’shura. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs.
The meeting sought to strengthen ongoing coordination between state institutions and to forge shared visions that would contribute to the advancement of economic, social, and developmental sectors.
At the outset of the meeting, HH Sayyid Shihab lauded the efforts of the Majlis Ash’shura in serving the nation and its citizens, as well as its instrumental role in supporting the comprehensive development march of the Sultanate of Oman, thereby propelling its momentum towards ever broader horizons while safeguarding its hard‑won achievements.
HH Sayyid Shihab affirmed that the Council of Ministers accords the utmost attention to the perspectives of the Majlis Ash’shura and endorses its endeavours aimed at reinforcing comprehensive development and fulfilling the aspirations of the citizens.
For their part, the Chairman of the Majlis Ash’shura and the members of the Office of the Council expressed their profound appreciation for the attentiveness and dedication demonstrated by the Council of Ministers in entrenching collective action and deepening the bonds of sustained coordination between the two councils.
